She received her first nomination for STELLA DALLAS and received another for her portrayal of a treacherous temptress in DOUBLE INDEMNITY, the Billy Wilder classic. Perhaps her last great performance was in SORRY, WRONG NUMBER in which she plays the intended victim of a murder plot. In a publicity photo Ms. Stanwyck wore a beautiful Champagne Diamond ring with all the trimmings.
